Meet Mark Collins, eHomeRanger. His journey in the world of finance and real estate is as fascinating as it is inspiring!

Mark’s adventure began back in 1980 when he stepped into the banking arena after graduating from his esteemed Auburn University. WAR EAGLE! Fast forward to 1987, and he was already fully immersed in the world of residential mortgages with Chase Bank of Florida. However, Mark’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to make a bold move in 1990 when he purchased Business Mortgage & Trust in Clearwater, FL. A year later, he temporarily left the helm to assist Pinellas Bank in opening a residential mortgage division.

Now, let’s talk about resilience! In 1994, Mark faced a challenging period when interest rates shot up from 7% to 8.50% in just two months, putting a significant portion of his company’s pipeline at risk. While the rest of the mortgage industry was grappling with the collapse, Mark, the creative thinker that he is, developed a no closing cost mortgage solution. The concept not only saved the day by propelling the recovery of most of the lost pipeline for his dedicated loan officers.

In 1997, the business evolved into America’s Mortgage Broker under Mark’s leadership, with two of his talented employees joining the journey as partners to help steer the growing ship. In less than a decade, AMB became the largest “net-branch” organization in the Southeast, boasting nearly 600 employees and closing over $1 billion in originations annually. Now, that’s what you call growth and success!

In 2014, a new chapter unfolded for Mark as he transitioned into real estate sales with KB Home. Over the years, he has contributed his skills and expertise to several national homebuilders, selling over 100 homes. In 2018, Mark took a leap of faith into independent real estate agency, working with reputable names like Coldwell Banker, Keller Williams, EXP, Homesmart, and currently finding his home with the Dalton Wade Real Estate Group in St. Petersburg, FL.
