Growing up my favorite TV show was The Lone Ranger. And oh, isn’t it fascinating what life brings? Because now I brand myself as eHomeRanger!
While I was familiar with The William Tell Overture, it wasn’t until much later that I discovered the existence of a complete theme song with lyrics, titled Hi-Yo Silver. Watch and listen by clicking the embedded video.
The dynamic duo of Lenny Adelson and Les Baxter breathed life into this song, with Lenny crafting the lyrics and Les composing the music. The piece was specifically created for the movie. The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold. And here’s the fun part— you can watch the movie on YouTube, albeit in all its “grainy” glory, given that it was crafted back in 1958. Such a delightful journey into the past!
